better life gifts

Hello there! I’m Stefanie, and it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you 😊 Thanks for taking the time to delve into my website and learn a bit about me.

Let me share a little insight into my journey. Just like many other women, I used to be quite reserved when it came to talking about myself. But I’ve come to realise that it’s time for a change. So, I’ve made it my mission to step out of my comfort zone and embrace who I am, celebrating the beautiful journey I’ve had so far!

My story begins with a twist – I left behind my professional career in IT to care for my two wonderful children, who are now young adults. While I have no regrets about dedicating myself to my family, it presented a challenge when I considered returning to the working world. The gap in my CV and a dip in confidence made it seem nearly impossible to reclaim a role even remotely close to what I had before.

So, like many others before me, I decided to set out on a journey of pursuing something I’m passionate about. I’m a creative soul at heart, so I embarked on the art of crafting beautiful things like personalised name plaques and festive Christmas decorations – you know, the kind you might spot at craft fairs all over the country.

The results were truly lovely, and I did manage to sell quite a bit. However, it was a labour of love, and people often didn’t fully appreciate the time and effort that went into crafting each piece.

When I ventured into the world of online sales, I found myself spending more time on social media than on creating my products. It was clear that a new direction was calling my name.

And that’s when the turning point came. One day, my husband came home from work with a newspaper in hand, pointing to an advertisement for a social media management training course, tailor-made for mothers seeking a return to the workforce. “You should do this!” he exclaimed, “You’re practically a social media wizard already. Why not turn your passion into a profession?” His words struck a chord, and I felt a spark of excitement at the prospect of trying something new. I applied, underwent training in social media management, and fell head over heels for it.

I started working with local clients and began nurturing my freelancing career.

Being a perpetual learner, I dedicated the next five years or so to expanding my knowledge in social media and marketing. During the challenging times of the pandemic, I was fortunate to be offered full-time employment with one client. Sadly, the role didn’t evolve as I had hoped, and I found myself feeling stressed, unfulfilled, and unhappy. Eventually, I made the decision to leave employment behind and build my own small business.

Having spent a significant part of my social media career collaborating with clients in the wellbeing sector, I felt a deep desire to continue helping people in some meaningful way. And that’s how “Better Life Gifts” came into being – an online gift shop offering affordable, wellbeing-focused gifts designed to brighten your life.

My vision for Better Life Gifts is to expand our offerings, tailoring gifts to major life events and milestones. Each gift is designed to help people embrace and celebrate these moments, whether planned or unexpected, and to ultimately feel their best and live their fullest lives.

Currently, our product range is centered around menopause cards, but that’s just the beginning. I have plans in the works for cards suited to retirement, bereavement, new parents, young adults heading off to university, and much more.

Stay tuned as this space blossoms and grows. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.

Warm regards, Stefanie 😊

Give the gift of a better menopause transition

I have designed these cards to help you navigate your way through the perimenopause and beyond.

We need to look out for each other more, and my wish is that no woman should struggle through this change but feel in control and good about herself.

There are no rules to using these cards. They are intended as a resource that you can pick up and flick through at any time.

I have tried to include many of the quotes, affirmations, facts and tips around the menopause that I found helpful myself.

All the photographs are my own. I hope you’ll like them.

I wish you all the very best on your journey to this new stage in your life. Embrace it, take whatever help you can get along the way and take good care of yourself.
